I became interested in radio at the end of WWII when I purchased and converted two Command receivers. I became interested in listening to amateur and commercial radio stations. In 1958, I  learned the code and became WV6GNZ. I upgraded to WA6GNZ in 1961. I have operated since in Fremont, California and , subsequently, Reno, Nevada.

My interest is in collecting radios from 1911 to 1927 and WWII and subsequent receivers and transmitters. I enjoy fixing them and putting them on the air.
